March 17 the season kicks off with our annual cultivation workshop. It is held at the Teamsters Union Hall, 2225 High Tech Rd. across from the University Park Airport outside of State College. Meet us at 1PM. Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and bring a beverage> There will be water available. This is a members only workshop, so if you have not paid your 2013 dues, you can pay them ($20) at the workshop. We will be making shitake logs and Bob will demonstrate how to cultivate oyster mushrooms with a toilet paper roll. We had a great time at this event last year and everyone got to take a log and oyster spawn home.

I will be at the union hall around 11:00 or so to start setting up. If anyone needs to be there earlier than that just let me know and I will be there earlier. We will be having a green leprechaun help us inoculate logs.

My fiance and I are planning to attend the workshop on Sunday. We are new members and this will be our first event. Couldn't figure out how or if we needed to sign up, so I figured I'd just chime in on this discussion. Look forward to meeting you all!

Hello, aparks, (I thought you were my friend Andrew Park who will also be attending lol) We are not doing any preregistration this year. I suspect we will in the future. If you have not signed teh waiver, you can do that at the beginning of the meeting.
